Houston, Texas, Thursday August 28, 2025 – GlobeLink Holdings, LLC and Texas Critical Data Centers, LLC, a joint venture between New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. and Sharon AI, Inc., have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a cutting-edge 1,600-mile fiber optic network spanning Texas. This initiative intends to deliver one of the region’s largest and fastest digital backbones, engineered specifically to support AI, hyperscale, and cloud workloads with ultra-low latency and massive capacity.
The new fiber network is designed to provide sub-5 millisecond latency and over 30 terabits per second (Tbps) capacity per fiber pair, enabling high-performance computing, artificial intelligence workloads, and other mission-critical applications. Texas Critical Data Centers’ flagship site intends to connect directly to GlobeLink’s carrier-neutral fiber network, ensuring unmatched scalability, redundancy, and open access for a broad range of customers and partners.
GlobeLink’s expansive infrastructure includes 2,400 miles of terrestrial and subsea fiber, linking key cities such as Mexico City, Corpus Christi, Odessa, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. Leveraging state-of-the-art Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, the network is capable of delivering over 30 Tbps per fiber pair with ultra-low latency, supporting hyperscaler interconnects, AI data processing, cloud services, and critical internet infrastructure.
By combining world-class data center capabilities with next-generation fiber infrastructure, this partnership aims to close critical connectivity gaps, empower underserved communities, and position Texas as a premier hub for advanced digital infrastructure in North America.
