Orange Group has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to automate the creation of advanced 5G services for enterprises and subscribers across its European affiliates. Before this award, the solution was successfully trialed in Belgium in late 2024, demonstrating its ability to deliver end-to-end automation of 5G network slices.
Ericsson Service Orchestration and Assurance is a comprehensive, multi-domain, multi-service platform that will enable Orange to streamline, automate, and accelerate the deployment of 5G Standalone (5G SA) services. The intent-based design capabilities of the solution simplifies the creation and replication of new 5G and network slicing use cases such as mobile private network, CellLock or Geofencing service for the enterprise market, or Fixed Wireless Access service for the consumer market.
This collaboration supports Orange’s group transformation towards a cloud-native operating model to serve customer needs for seamless connectivity with a differentiated end-to-end quality of service. Ericsson’s solution has been successfully onboarded on Orange’s Telco Cloud infrastructure based on Sylva, an open-source telco cloud platform, demonstrating its versatility.
