TXO expands in the US with the addition of AirWay Group

Strategic expansion strengthens TXO’s scale in North America, reinforcing its leadership in the global circular economy and enhancing service capabilities across the region.

Chepstow, 8th April 2025 – TXO, a global leader in sustainable technology lifecycle solutions, has expanded its presence in North America with the addition of the AirWay Group of companies, leading providers of network infrastructure products and services. The move significantly increases TXO’s scale in the region and enhances its customer value proposition in lifecycle management, network and engineering, staging, sourcing, logistics, and technology reuse.

Founded in 1992, AirWay supports over 250 telecom and broadband customers in more than 70 countries. Their core services include the supply of new and repurposed network equipment, certified recycling and asset recovery, network commissioning and decommissioning, and bespoke warehousing and logistics programmes. AirWay works with all four major US national carriers – AT&T, Dish, T-Mobile, and Verizon – and operates R2, ISO and OHSAS-certified facilities across the United States.

Simon Wort, Group CEO of TXO, commented: “AirWay’s addition marks a major step forward in our mission to become the global leader in sustainable technology solutions. Their scale, technical expertise and market credibility – especially in the US – strengthen our platform for future growth, strategic partnerships and M&A. Culturally, this is a strong alignment: we share a customer-first mindset, a commitment to sustainability, and a passion for delivering operational excellence. Together, we will accelerate our impact and continue building a truly global circular economy.”

The integration of AirWay expands TXO’s warehousing footprint and engineering services in North America, enhancing its ability to offer full lifecycle support – from staging and site kitting to equipment commissioning, asset decommissioning and agile sourcing. These capabilities further TXO’s goal of delivering comprehensive, end-to-end technology solutions that help customers reduce waste, extend asset life, and access more sustainable alternatives to new hardware.

Tom Eaton, CEO of AirWay, added: “We’re proud to join the TXO Group at a time when the industry is seeking smarter, cost effective and more sustainable ways to manage network infrastructure. With TXO’s global scale, our team will have greater resources to grow, invest and innovate. We’ve always focused on performance, transparency and strong partnerships and together, we’ll bring those values to even more customers worldwide.”

As part of the transition, Mark Gergel, Chairman of AirWay, will join the current TXO Advisory Board in a strategic role, bringing valuable market insight and leadership experience from across the US telecom sector. He will work alongside current Advisory Board members Alan Ockenden and Karim Barkawi, who were instrumental in the founding and development of TXO and Teqport, respectively.

Meanwhile, Tom Eaton will take on the role of CEO, TXO Americas, leading the Group’s operations in the US and supporting continued expansion across the region. His appointment provides local leadership with global alignment, enabling more agile decision-making and greater responsiveness to customer needs across North and South America.

This latest development supports TXO’s long-term strategy to build a global circular economy. The TXO Group now includes over 450 specialists across five continents. This growing network enhances the Group’s ability to maximise return on capital for clients, transforming how technology is sourced, deployed, reused, and returned to value – helping customers reduce costs, minimise waste, and achieve their own sustainability goals.

NOTES TO EDITOR

About TXO
Founded in 2005, TXO is a global full-circle technology lifecycle partner, helping industries optimise, manage, deploy, and resell technology.

Our vision is to make technology more sustainable—reducing costs, minimising waste, and maximising impact. We support organisations worldwide that rely on complex infrastructures, helping them improve efficiency, control costs, and meet environmental targets.

By applying circular economy principles, EOSL support, and responsible asset recovery, we extend infrastructure lifecycles while lowering both commercial and environmental impact. True sustainability must be commercially viable, seamless to implement, and environmentally sound—because if an initiative isn’t cost-effective or disrupts operations, it won’t succeed.

Through urban mining and asset recovery, we help customers reduce reliance on raw material extraction while driving performance, profit, and purpose. In partnership with TowerBrook Delta, we are accelerating the shift toward a more sustainable and efficient network ecosystem—one that balances financial returns with environmental responsibility.

Our goal: transforming technology for a smarter, more sustainable future.
