The addition of these new locations marks an important milestone in AT&T’S $5 billion dollar commitment to bridging the digital divide

Key Takeaways:
- AT&T provides each Connected Learning Center (CLC) with a contribution of up to $50K and free internet connectivity. Corporate partners like Dell Technologies donate technology to CLCs.
- These 25 CLCs are part of AT&T’s goal to open at least 100 CLCs nationwide by the end of 2027.
- To date, CLCs have served more than 87,000 users, helping people complete schoolwork, apply for jobs, research colleges, find housing, manage healthcare, and communicate with loved ones.
- Inspired by real stories from current CLCs, AT&T’s recent TV ad “The Walk” illustrates the transformative power of connectivity.
In 2025, AT&T will continue its investment to bridging the digital divide by awarding 25 new Connected Learning Centers (CLCs) to non-profit organizations and empowering more communities across the U.S. These CLCs will receive a contribution of up to $50,000 from AT&T, high-speed internet, Dell computers, and access to digital literacy courses and training. This milestone is part of AT&T’s $5 billion commitment to help 25 million people get and stay connected by 2030.
“AT&T has always been about connecting people, and our Connected Learning Centers are creating bridges to opportunities,” said Andrew Bailey, director of Corporate Responsibility, AT&T. “Whether you’re a student researching and applying to college, an individual seeking career growth, or a family learning about mortgages, CLCs provide the resources to help you succeed in an increasingly digital world.”
With tens of millions of Americans still without access to fixed wireless broadband, these CLCs provide an important means of entry to many, such as Gia Duarte, a Los Angeles resident who used a CLC to research and apply to colleges and universities. In the spring of 2024, Gia celebrated her acceptance to the University of California, Berkeley on a computer in that very same CLC.
Inspired by stories such as Gia’s, AT&T’s TV ad “The Walk” follows a young woman who regularly visits a CLC, using the resources to continue her education and ultimately graduate. This moving portrayal highlights how connectivity can change lives and open doors to greater possibilities.
Since 2021, AT&T has collaborated with nonprofit organizations to launch 64 CLCs across 19 states, serving over 87,000 people. The newly announced 25 CLCs will bring AT&T closer to its goal of opening 100 CLCs by the end of 2027.
As AT&T marches towards its goal, the commitment to digital literacy, accessibility, and community support remains unwavering, showcasing the power of connectivity and the endless possibilities it brings to every corner of the country.
