This new point of presence in Warsaw provides a direct connection between Eastern Europe and APAC, strengthening SG.GS’ international network backbone.
London, UK, 25 March 2025 – Global network carrier, SG.GS, has announced its new point of presence in Warsaw, Poland. By establishing a new node in the region, the telecoms provider will facilitate direct connectivity between Eastern Europe and Asia-Pacific markets, building on growing economic opportunities and investment.
Poland marks SG.GS’ first venture into Eastern Europe, a location that has been strategically chosen to provide improved connectivity access between Europe and Asia-Pacific for customers operating in both regions. By positioning the new point of presence (PoP) in Warsaw, SG.GS completes the next stage in strengthening its global internet backbone. Facilitating a stronger connection between APAC and Poland delivers more connectivity solutions for SG.GS‘ customers, with the next nearest PoP being Frankfurt – one of the most established hotspots in Europe.
“We’ve strategically constructed steady, sustained growth in our global presence,” comments Dave Pumford, VP & GM, International at SG.GS. “Poland continues to benefit from significant international investment, particularly through Asian partners, and this expansion provides a foundation to deliver market-leading access across our product portfolio.”
Network resilience
By leveraging multiple subsea cables, SG.GS provides a strong level of connectivity resilience designed for seamless and protected connectivity between Europe and Asia, with services available from 100M to 100G.
