Partnership delivers Google Cloud’s Propagation API and Infovista’s network planning solutions, democratizing access to advanced RF planning in North America
Paris, France – Tuesday 11th March 2025 – Infovista today announced a new partnership with Google Cloud to reinvent wireless network planning. The collaboration integrates Google Cloud’s Propagation API with Infovista’s industry-leading network planning suite, Planet, thus reducing the complexity and cost of wireless network design.
Following the end of servicing of Google’s network planning tool, this partnership ensures continuity and enhanced capabilities for the broad wireless industry, particularly benefiting Tier 2/3 Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and Private Networks (PNs) across North America.
Transforming Network Planning economics
The partnership addresses critical pain points in the network planning process:
- From expensive, time-consuming geodata acquisition to a subscription including access to high-quality geodata.
- From complex propagation model calibration to pre-calibrated models ready for immediate use
- From tools requiring expert knowledge to intuitive solutions accessible to wider teams
This collaboration also introduces a new total cost of ownership (TCO) model for network planning, reducing upfront investment and ongoing operational costs while providing the assurance of accessing continuously updated geodata and propagation models.
“This partnership with Google Cloud marks a paradigm shift in how wireless networks are planned and optimized,” said Rick Hamilton, CEO at Infovista. “By combining Google’s unparalleled geodata capabilities with our network planning expertise, we’re democratizing access to sophisticated RF planning tools. This is particularly crucial as the industry expands CBRS deployments, accelerates Fixed Wireless Access rollouts, and embraces private networks.”
Powered by Google’s advanced capabilities
The Google Propagation API calculates radio signal path loss with optimized accuracy by leveraging:
- Google’s comprehensive geodata including precise terrain, building, and tree models
- Specialized wireless propagation models optimized for North American wireless landscapes
- Calibration for multiple frequency bands including CBRS and others
Availability
The integrated solution will be available first to North American customers starting in Q2 2025. For more information, visit www.infovista.com/googlepartnership.
