Brightspeed Fiber Internet available for immediate installations at more than 112K locations
CHARLOTTE, N.C — March 12, 2025 – Brightspeed, the nation’s third-largest fiber broadband builder focused on empowering more homes and businesses with ultrafast, reliable internet, announced significant progress on its multi-billion-dollar fiber build in Eastern North Carolina. Brightspeed Fiber Internet, the country’s fastest internet service* according to HighSpeedInternet.com’s annual report, is now available for immediate installations to more than 112,000 fiber-enabled locations in the Greenville, New Bern and Washington area communities. Brightspeed crews are also continuing to build its state-of-the-art network to an additional 131,000 homes and businesses in the area. When the Brightspeed Fiber Internet network build is complete more than 315,000 families and businesses will have access to multi-gig-speed connectivity.

Another 8,700 locations in New Bern and more than 5,500 locations in Greenville also have access to the company’s high-speed connectivity. In more than 50 communities that surround Greenville, New Bern and Washington, there are another 87,000 homes and businesses with access to Brightspeed Fiber Internet, ready for immediate installation.
