Industry robots automation automotive manufacturing

Visitors to the Ericsson MWC 2025 booth can experience firsthand how advanced wireless technologies are shaping the future of business.

As enterprises continue to evolve in an increasingly connected world, Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona provides a pivotal stage to explore the next wave of technological advancements. Under the event’s theme, ‘Step into what’s next,’ Ericsson Enterprise Wireless will demonstrate how its advanced wireless solutions are enabling more intelligent and agile enterprises. Visitors to the Ericsson booth can expect interactive showcases highlighting the transformative power of Private 5G, IoT, edge computing, and AI-driven applications across industries.

Visitors to the Ericsson booth can experience firsthand how advanced wireless technologies are shaping the future of business. The demos will cover a range of industries, illustrating practical applications and real-world benefits.

Neutral Host Demo: Ericsson Radio Dot vs. DAS

A comparative showcase featuring two stylized office buildings: one equipped with Ericsson Radio Dots and the other using traditional Active DAS (Distributed Antenna System). Monitors will display real-world case studies highlighting the advantages of EP5G over DAS, illustrating improvements in efficiency, performance, and scalability.

Private 5G Demos: Smart Manufacturing featuring JLR

A scaled-down replica of a JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) manufacturing floor, showcasing an ecosystem of partners—including Litmus, Atlas Copco, Streamwide, Zebra, and Dassault Systems—integrated to demonstrate the latest manufacturing applications powered by 5G. The demo will also highlight location capabilities of network APIs and how Ericsson Cradlepoint routers provide Wi-Fi connectivity for business applications such as Vonage. JLR has already replaced over 100 miles of copper wiring with Ericsson Private 5G, improving data speed, security, and scalability, unlocking new operational efficiencies.

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) for Small Business: Storefront

Demonstrating the new X20 router designed for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) in business environments, with integrated SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) services. . Additionally, the demo will showcase a Vonage customer loyalty application which leverages network APIs and Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging capabilities to engage with customers and increase loyalty

IoT and Computer Vision: Hospital Supply Storage

Illustrating how 5G and AI-driven computer vision can streamline inventory management in healthcare settings. A hospital supply room demo will show how AI-powered cameras automatically track inventory, updating a live screen as supplies are removed. The demo will also showcase live network APIs enabling access control features, such as unlocking doors remotely, and other IoT-driven use cases.

In-Vehicle Applications: Public Safety

This demo shows how an Ericsson Cradlepoint 5G ruggedized router allows any vehicle to be an “office on wheels”.  Technology partners take advantage of this wireless connection.  An interactive Forward Thinking demo allowing participants to experience how an organization might focus on driver safety by monitoring cell phone misuse, driver fatigue, and other distractions. The demo will also highlight the Haas Alert system, which broadcasts an alert to civilian vehicles when they are in proximity to active emergency response units, helping to reduce roadside collisions and enhance public safety.  We will also demonstrate how developers can use network APIs to develop applications to assist public safety organizations to communicate with communities at times of crisis.

Ericsson’s presence at MWC 2025 will showcase how enterprises can harness the power of advanced wireless connectivity to optimize operations, drive innovation, and future-proof their businesses. Whether in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or public safety, these cutting-edge solutions are shaping the next generation of intelligent and agile enterprises.

Visitors can explore these demos at the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless booth and gain deeper insights into the role of 5G, AI, and edge computing in transforming industries.
