Sofia, Bulgaria – 2nd September 2024: NetIX, the leading global distributed platform for award-winning connectivity and peering solutions, has announced the addition of Giganet’s exchange in Amsterdam and 1-IX’s exchanges in Frankfurt and Kyiv to its service portfolio and network to further benefit its members.
Whilst NetIX – part of the Neterra Group – is already connected to IXPs in these cities and regions, these new exchanges have unique networks that don’t peer anywhere else and these new additions will bring a mix of different networks and ASNs NetIX’s ecosystem and members. 1-IX’s exchanges, which generate peak traffic rates of almost 3Tbps, bring over 100 members into the GIX mix, and Giganet Amsterdam also bring 3Tbps of peak traffic with 320+ members.

Earlier this month, NetIX connected to IX.br’s Fortaleza exchange bringing a third IXP in Brazil on-net. These four new additions bring the total of connected IXPs to over 45, enabling better global connectivity through peering than ever before.
