AXON Networks names Kumar Vishwanathan as Chief Product Officer

AXON Networks’ Vision is to Shape the Future of Broadband Connectivity. In that spirit, we have recently welcomed Kumar Vishwanathan to our Executive Team as Chief Product Officer.

Kumar will guide AXON’s innovation across our entire product portfolio from Orchestration to our edge and access network products and drive our solutions deeper into Enterprise networking, expanding our ability to become the leader in Operator-as-a-Service (OaaS).

Kumar is a seasoned product and technology development professional with more than 30 years of experience working in the Security, Networking and Telecom industries. Previously, he served as the CTO for Privafy, a leading white label security-as-a-service company with security solutions from IoT, public & private clouds as well as large enterprise networks. Prior to Privafy, Kumar held senior roles at Verizon, including being one of the core founding members of Verizon Labs, the company’s nucleus of technology and product strategy, where he served as VP of Engineering & Chief Technologist. Prior to that, Kumar was the VP of Worldwide Engineering at Sonus Networks (Ribbon) and was responsible for architecting the transformation of the voice network from TDMA to IP for several major telecom carriers across the globe. In previous years, Kumar successfully co-founded three technology startups, one of which was acquired by Motorola.

Kumar is based in Boston, MA.
