The Rising Stars Awards were first introduced by the Jacksonville Business Journal in early 2023.
According to the Journal, the Rising Stars is an exciting new awards program designed to recognize those in the Jacksonville, FL area who are on the ascent of their career. Throughout the course of the year, the Journal honors those who will be future leaders in four industries: legal, finance, real estate and logistics. The awards program is not an age-bound program and is focused on those who are on their way up: This can be someone a few years out of college, someone who has launched a new venture or someone who has embarked on a new path. Honorees are selected by a panel of local leaders and are judged based both on past accomplishments, promise of future accomplishment, involvement in the community and other attributes.
