LONDON, UK, 08 DECEMBER 2023 – EXA Infrastructure, the largest dedicated digital infrastructure platform connecting Europe and North America, today announced it was awarded for the second year running, the prestigious Best Fiber Infrastructure Deployment last night at the 12th edition of Telecom Review Excellence Awards.

Trans Adriatic Express (TAE) is a joint venture between EXA and Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG and is the only direct connection between south-east and western Europe was recognised for its innovation and unique fibre optic network. By taking advantage of deeply buried fibre optic cables adjacent to the TAP gas pipeline, it offers a unique and extremely secure 4,500 kilometres connection from Istanbul to western Europe which avoids the more traditional, but unreliable routes through Romania.

“It is an honour to receive this award in 2023 after taking it home in 2022. EXA continues to differentiate itself from its competitors by diversifying and expanding its network routes to increase connectivity and security for its customers across Europe,” Steve Roberts, VP Network Investments, EXA Infrastructure said. “EXA is keenly focussed on expanding and investing in our network to ensure our customers and partners remain competitive.”

The independent judging panel selected EXA from more than 500 entries and continues to be the industry “standard” for wholesale providers.

Roberts added: “TAE is a key example of how innovation and strategic partnerships between telecom and energy assets create undisputed value. We look forward to being the infrastructure provider of choice in Europe and delivering more projects in 2024 and beyond .”
