Hong Kong / Bangkok, 16 November 2023 – Leading Internet Exchange AMS-IX, together with HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC), a fully-fledged ICT service provider and network operator with extensive global coverage, and International Gateway Company Limited (IGC), a neutral regional telecommunication and network service provider, are pleased to announce 11 initial members joined AMS-IX Bangkok since its fully implementation in May this year.
New members are from a variety of companies ranging from hyperscalers, CDNs, OTT providers, Internet service providers, cloud service providers, colocation providers and software vendors, on both international as well as local basis. Riding on this neutral and multiple interconnection platform – AMS-IX Bangkok, connected parties1 can fulfil their high demand for quality connectivity, better redundancy, lower latency as well as lower operation costs.
Bangkok is an international hub for exchanging Internet traffic and serves as a gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). AMS-IX Bangkok contributes to the growth of the Internet in the region through effective traffic localization, acceleration of enterprise digitization, and community support in GMS.

AMS-IX Bangkok access point will be available through 7 major data centers via DC platform in Bangkok at the beginning of 2024, we believe it could further strengthen and improve the Internet Exchange Point community in the region.
