TUCSON, Arizona – October 20, 2023 – Involta is honored to have been recognized as the Arizona Technology Council Southern Arizona Member Organization of the Year. This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated support and alignment with the Council’s vision statement, helping to drive its overall growth and mission impact in Southern Arizona. The Arizona Tech Council is the driving force behind making Arizona the fastest-growing technology hub in the nation, focused on connecting and empowering Arizona’s technology community.
“The Arizona Technology Council has been instrumental in advancing technology and innovation throughout the state,” said Bruce Lehrman, Involta Interim CEO. “As a long-time member of the Council, Involta has been able to connect with influential organizations, expand our knowledge of the trends and challenges faced in the market and ultimately stay at the forefront of the technology landscape in Arizona. We’re honored and humbled to be named the Council’s Member Organization of the Year.”
Involta, alongside other industry trailblazers, was recognized at the 11th Annual Southern Arizona Tech and Business Expo on October 18, where attendees gathered to learn what’s new and trending in the technology landscape and celebrate the technology innovations in Southern Arizona.
Transforming Arizona Through Technology
Involta has been a heavily involved member of the Arizona Tech Council since 2013, and over the past 10 years, we’ve been impressed with the positive impact the Council’s influence has had on Southern Arizona innovation. Joe Wells, Involta Sales Account Executive, serves on multiple committees within the Council, including the Tech Exposition Committee, Golf Tournament Committee and the Tucson Ambassador Committee, which is focused on identifying prospective new members, welcoming new members and supporting existing members to help them integrate into the Council’s many programs and offerings.
“Being involved with Arizona Technology Council committees has been extremely rewarding. Having face-to-face conversations with other industry leaders and helping to expand the Council’s influence is crucial in this quickly-evolving industry,” said Joe Wells. “By reaching new members and expanding access to STEM opportunities and careers, we’re getting people excited about Arizona’s role in the future of technology.”
Since joining the Arizona Technology Council, Involta’s Tucson team has forged new connections with business and technology leaders across the state, joining a community that is focused on driving innovation in Arizona. Earlier this year, the Council was presented with the Innovative Member and Client Services or Programs award by the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA), a testament to how it has helped shape Arizona as a technologically innovative powerhouse.
Involta entered the Tucson market in 2013, revolutionizing its data center operations, growing its team and influence to deliver best-in-class solutions for Arizona clients. Involta first opened its Tucson data center with just three employees—today, the data center is staffed by 14 People Who Deliver. Involta’s long-standing Tri-Lambda IT networking group has cultivated strong, lasting connections with other Tucson professionals and increased the impact of Involta Cares initiatives, like electronics recycling and the annual Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Classic supporting the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA). In 2023, Involta also launched the Tucson Internet Exchange with the goal of improving local internet connectivity and decreasing costs for users.
