Ericsson’s strength of diversity and the uniqueness of its employees will be proudly on show when Ericsson participates at the annual Stockholm Pride festival, taking place in Stockholm from July 31 to August 5.

The Stockholm Pride festival, currently celebrating its 25th year, will be full of activities for everyone. Celebrating diversity and everybody’s right to be themselves, Ericsson will participate at Pride House and Pride Park, and at the grand finale of the week, the Pride Parade on August 5.
This is the second year in row Ericsson sponsors the annual Pride festival in Stockholm, Sweden and this year the company will honor the uniqueness of its employees and the strength of diversity.
Carl Mellander, Ericsson CFO and LGBTQ+ ally and executive sponsor says: “At Ericsson, we believe that diverse, inclusive teams drive performance and innovation. Inclusion, respect and equal opportunities for LGBTQ+ colleagues, and potential employees, are fundamental to the ethos and values of Ericsson.”

Ericsson will pay tribute to the range and diversity of the many communities within the LGBTQ+ community by featuring various pride flags on the Ericsson float and in its tent at the festival. The 24 flags featured represent sexual orientation, gender identity, romantic attraction, and more, as well as the flag of critical allies.
Stockholm-based Ericsson employees will be among tens of thousands of people taking to the streets of Sweden’s capital during the week to celebrate the festival.
Ericsson is staging a host of events during Stockholm Pride week, including:
- Two public panel discussions on August 1 at Pride House: one sharing the experience of establishing an employee resource group for the LGBTQ+ community and the other focusing on the history and importance of Pride
- Ericsson tent in Pride Park
- Ericsson employees, with family and friends, participating in Pride parade on August 5
