[Wuzhen, China, June 26, 2023] Huawei hosted the 15th Huawei User Group Meeting (HUGM) under the theme of “Listen – Collaborate – Develop – Improve.” The conference brought together over 400 global carriers to discuss the latest industry developments. Huawei presented its progress in addressing the top issues raised in 2022 and invited leading carriers to share their success stories and insights on topics such as 5G business development and intelligent digital transformation. Through collaborative efforts, the conference promoted future-oriented quality improvements that will drive the industry forward.
Li Peng, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of the Carrier Network Business Group (CNBG ), said in his welcome speech, “Over the past decade, Huawei has been committed to listening to our customers’ feedback, addressing their top concerns, and continuously enhancing the quality of our products and services. By collaborating closely with our customers, we have achieved shared success. At previous HUGMs, we have identified over 80 areas for improvement and continuously improved network quality and customer experience, ultimately maximizing our customers’ return on investment.”
At the conference, leading global carriers such as China Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, and China Unicom shared their best practices in 5G technology, digital transformation applications, and their vision for the future. Huawei updated attendees on its progress in addressing five of the top issues in 2022. The five issues highlighted were: energy-efficient 5G networks, improved performance and user experience in all-optical premium private lines, enhanced private line quality and O&M (Operations and Maintenance) capabilities through intelligent cloud-network collaboration, intelligent automatic scaling, and improved intelligent O&M capabilities. Huawei also collaborated with customers to establish special teams to address critical issues, achieving a 100% issue closure rate. In terms of products, Huawei has integrated application innovations and developed intelligent, simplified, and eco-friendly solutions to significantly improve spectral and energy efficiency, thereby enhancing user experience. Additionally, Huawei has worked with customers to maintain and restore networks following more than 300 major events and disasters, safeguarding global communication networks around the clock in 2022.
