Hong Kong, February 2, 2023 – Former CEO of BDx, Braham Singh announced his departure from the data center brand recently with plans to join a new organization. He revealed today that he would be joining Verdana as Chairman of the organization effective immediately. Verdana is associated with resolving the Carbon Trade’s 3 Big Issues — circumventing additionality double counting reduction in GHG emissions, and multiple sales of the same carbon credits. Verdana has come up with a real solution instead of kicking the can down the road like the carbon trade’s been doing for decades.
“Verdana’s technology is an elegant end-to-end automation solution that enables carbon footprint data and analytics to be seen, assessed, validated and certified by the stakeholders that make up the carbon trade”, says Singh. “What we do is simply extend the Blockchain’s immutability to the carbon footprint. That way, we reduce human intervention — the root cause of what plagues the carbon trade.”
Key features of the platform include:
- Immutable dMRV and GHG reporting
- Validation of the sell side
- Protecting the offset buyer
- Minimizing human intervention to reduce additionality by-pass
- Flags double counting of GHG reduction
- Flags sales of the same credit
Singh is no stranger to the sustainability industry, he was previously involved in BDx’s sustainability efforts while serving as CEO as well as a contributor to best selling book “Greener Data”.
