DATAIX, a Dutch Internet exchange network of backbone provider GlobalNet, is expanding into South Eastern Europe with one new point of presence (PoP) in the region.
GlobalNet/DATAIX launched a new POP in the capital of Bulgaria, which is based in Telepoint Sofia Centre (122 Ovtche pole Str., Sofia 1303, Bulgaria). This new connectivity gives DATAIX network members direct access to South Eastern Europe digital infrastructure and ecosystems within a global Internet Exchange Network spread over 56 points throughout Eurasia.
DATAIX’s presence in Sofia enables GlobalNet to deliver high-speed Internet access and connectivity across Europe with full channel redundancy for their members. In addition, the new PoP provides stable access to local and international backbone infrastructure, giving more choice over where to house a service while simultaneously increasing the resilience of mission-critical services.
GlobalNet/DATAIX members could benefit from the full range of services, including Internet eXchange, IP-Transit, Remote-IX, and DDoS protection, enabling them to protect their networks from malicious attacks.
“The POP in Sofia is a hub not only for the Balkan region but also connected to Turkiye and the Caucasus, so it might be useful for our members to get both European and Asian traffic here. We look forward to providing GlobaNet/DATAIX’s clients with high-quality experience” – says Alex Surkoff, Director of Business Development at DATAIX.
GlobalNet is an advantageous combination of protected routes, wide node presence, diverse and reliable services. This enables DATAIX to create new regional traffic delivery opportunities.
