[Shenzhen, China, Oct 20, 2022] Recently, the research and consulting firm Gartner released their 2022 Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage. Huawei was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage for the seventh consecutive year since 2016 for its product OceanStor Storage.
The report recognized Huawei according to two key standard criteria – Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision – used by Gartner to evaluate the positioning of storage vendors.
Huawei OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage enhances the following capabilities:
- Multi-cloud ecosystem: Huawei helps accelerate cloud applications with rapid multi-cloud deployment and stable running, thanks to interconnection with mainstream container management platforms (including Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, and DaoCloud) and use of decoupled storage-compute and data acceleration engine technologies.
- Data protection: Huawei ransomware protection solution runs on primary and backup storage — featuring ransomware detection, storage encryption, air gap, secure snapshot, and WORM — to build a powerful defense against ransomware, and ensure business continuity and security.
- Customer experience: Excellent products are well managed at global product service centers, to make Huawei solutions a perfect choice for industries (finance, telecom, etc.) in Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
Huawei OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage has been widely used in core industry production thanks to its unique and leading competitive advantages, such as the industry’s only active-active integrated SAN and NAS solution, and SmartMatrix fully-mesh architecture that ensures 24/7 service continuity; the cross-cluster global scale-out file system and industry-leading FlashLink® disk-controller collaboration architecture that deliver superior SAN and NAS performance; and premium features such as quota, QoS, and ransomware protection used to ensure efficient and secure data in multi-load environments.
