Investment to help Salute continue to scale its delivery of mission critical data center services to a global client base

New career opportunities in the data center sector are soon coming to veterans across the U.S. and worldwide! LLR Partners, a private equity firm investing in technology and healthcare businesses, announced an investment in Salute Mission Critical. The partnership will help Salute bring more job opportunities to veterans globally and scale its global operations to support the world’s leading data center providers.

Salute serves an often misunderstood and overlooked resource pool and offers prior-enlisted service members and military spouses a chance to start a career. Salute’s Co-Founder, Lee Kirby, says, “I am thrilled to be partnering with LLR. The cultural alignment in this unique partnership will produce even greater results for the industry and the lives of veterans and military spouses, proving that a triple bottom line approach is good for business and for the world.”

Companies and providers of all sizes rely on Salute to deploy, maintain, manage, secure and decommission mission critical data centers with military precision. Salute has a delivery model that has been embraced by an industry that is continuing to grow rapidly. Salute’s workforce development strategy has proven to be highly effective and has been shared as an industry best practice for solving one of the most significant problems in the data center industry – talent shortage. Known for its inclusive culture, Salute is solving the industry talent shortage by transitioning and training veterans and military spouses to deliver world class services globally with its innovative operating model. Salute’s transparency, flexibility and global consistency provide a competitive advantage to its clients, resulting in the company’s over 300% revenue growth in the past 5 years.

“The proliferation of connected devices, rising volumes of data capture and data interactions, and cloud adoption are just a few of the underlying trends driving global growth in the data center market,” says Mike Levenberg, Partner at LLR Partners. “Salute answers this rising market demand with best-in-class operational services for hyperscale and colocation facilities and a unique ability to grow quickly and globally with customers.”

Salute’s CEO, Jason Okroy, adds, “As our partner, LLR will provide not only the capital but also the experience helping businesses like ours continue to scale operations, teams and processes. To us, it means more veterans and military spouses getting jobs in the industry. To the industry, it means more talent entering the industry to fuel continued rapid growth and diversity of the workforce. To society, it means veterans who were homeless when hired are now self-supporting members of society. I look forward to collaborating with the LLR team as we continue to enhance our ability to serve Salute’s leading customer base.”

As for the impact it has made on the data center industry and the lives of veterans, Salute has been awarded several recognitions, including the 2020 Data Center Operations Team of Year by Data Centre Dynamics; the Gold HIRE Vets Medallion from the U.S. Department of Labor; designation as a Top 10 Military Friendly Employer and the #7 rank in its category on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ list for 2020.

“Salute has been able to capitalize on strong tailwinds by maintaining a best-in-class recruiting and training program, consistently delivering high quality services and building strong customer relationships,” notes Katie Lankalis, Vice President at LLR Partners. “We’re excited to partner with Jason and his team to help fuel the next stage of growth and global expansion for Salute.”
