Featuring a Smart Hub with Wi-Fi 6 mesh router technology and application server, IoT connectivity, 4G Gigabit LTE or 5G network connection, an intuitive control app with voice support, integration with leading smart home accessories, and platform security, all in a stunning little box that fits in the palm of your hand

This first-of-a-kind bundle makes it easy for Managed Service Providers to sell a highly sought-after value-added service that will boost subscriber loyalty and retention while providing a truly turnkey smart home solution for consumers

(NEW YORK, NY & LAS VEGAS, NV) December 30, 2021 – Veea™ Inc., an innovation leader in integrated smart edge connectivity, computing and security, today announced it will be unveiling details of a game-changing “Smart Home as a Service” (SHaaS) solution that bundles a Veea STAX™ Smart Hub featuring ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 mesh technology and a powerful quad core Linux server. The solution is designed to run a variety of applications, along with IoT connectivity, integration with leading smart home accessories from trusted manufacturers, an intuitive smartphone app and web interface, featuring voice control and support for leading smart home standards, and robust platform security and built-in virtual support.

Besides its unique and a compact form-factor, its eye-catching design sports optional groundbreaking stackable modules, or “stacker modules”, in the form of 4G Gigabit LTE and 5G Sub-6 GHz modules offering dual-WAN functionality with an optional cellular subscription supported by a physical SIM (USIM), an eSIM, or a virtual SIM (vSIM). The 4G and 5G modules are designed to support multiple SIMs simultaneously and switch to the highest quality signal if the module retains more than one cellular subscription.

The highly unique and patented design of STAX and its cellular modules’ internal antennas provide for a high level of performance while making the entire solution pass as a decorative item on the shelf. STAX’ stacker modules can be “stacked” in various configurations and configured to meet the particular needs of end-users and a multitude of solutions. New stacker module accessories, such as a module with a high-quality smart speaker and a directional mic, are planned to be released in the second half of 2022.

This all-in-one leading-edge product is being offered to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) as a white label solution that can rapidly be brought to market and will soon be available to consumers directly. MSPs can now offer their customers who haven’t yet taken that next step, and for those who simply want a much better experience or truly cut the cord, a comprehensive range of options to their customers to choose from for networking, management, and automation of Smart Spaces along with their data services. MSPs can deliver all this functionality with Zero-Touch Installation (ZTI), truly as a “Drop & Play”, for an individual unit or in bulk for thousands of units shipped to their customers, in mixed network environments.

STAX IoT modules support the full range of widely adopted standards, for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Classic, Zigbee and Matter, and smart home platforms along with interoperability with leading lighting systems, cameras, thermostats, locks, shades, whole home audio, Smart TV devices and much more. It also features 32 GB of built-in eMMC flash memory, expandable to over to 2 TB of storage with an SDXC card, an elegant and intuitive smartphone app and web user interface, and integration with leading multiple virtual digital assistants for AI-assisted
voice commands.

SHaaS can be managed as a local private network, or a Cloud-managed network, providing the users with complete control over their home, apartment, rental property, office, restaurant, hotel room, or dorm room from anywhere, with IoT capabilities, industry-leading security features and virtual support. It also gives MSPs abundant ways to delight their customers and substantially increase customer loyalty, differentiate their offerings, and drive new revenue streams via multiple routes.

“We see STAX being the standard-bearer for Smart Hubs of the future as a new product category in the broader mass-market,” said Allen Salmasi, chairman and CEO of Veea. “With its unique design, breadth of capabilities, and price-performance, and when combined with our Smart Home As A Service offering, this first-of-a-kind bundle delivers on the promise of a turnkey smart home experience for consumers while providing Managed Service Providers a highly sought-after value-added service that will boost subscriber loyalty and retention.”
