DataBank Further Expands Capacity of DFW3 Data Center in Dallas/Fort Worth

Expansion supports the increasing need for more enterprise-class data centers

Dallas, TX – December 14, 2021 – DataBank, a leading provider of enterprise-class colocation, interconnection, and managed cloud services, announced the fourth expansion of its Dallas Fort Worth Data Center, DFW3. DFW3 is DataBank’s newest Uptime Certified Tier III Data Center, and the third in the Dallas area.

This expansion, located in Plano, TX near Legacy Park, the fastest growing area within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, provides an additional 22k square feet of space to the DFW3 data center and 3MW of power, and will be known as Data Halls 5 and 6 with a completion date set for Q2 2022. DFW3 is designed to accommodate a total of six data Halls delivering 144,000 square feet of facility space, expandable up to 72,000 square feet of usable space, and up to 40MW of total power from diverse utility feeds.

DFW3 is an enterprise-class facility that offers network availability and is home to DataBank’s FedRAMP-certified cloud platform. The facility is able to meet a variety of compliance standards including SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2, HIPAA HITECH, PCI DSS, and SSAE 18. The facility also meets FedRAMP/FISMA auditing standards. DFW3 is an elite service of public cloud on-ramps, dark fiber providers with redundant backbone connectivity, peering fabrics, and blended-bandwidth solutions to meet any business requirement.
