TELEHOUSE America, a leading global provider of carrier-neutral data centers and subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, today announces that it has received Service Organization Control 1 (SOC 1) Type II and Service Organization Control for Service Organizations (SOC 2) Type II certification (attestation). The audit completion, performed by KirkpatrickPrice, validates TELEHOUSE America’s strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to its clients and demonstrates the highest-standard security protocols and internal controls and processes in managing and securing customer data and financial information.

“As a one-stop-shop for colocation, connectivity and more, we handle a variety of workloads and sensitive information for our clients,” comments Milad Abdelmessih, Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Sales for KDDI America and TELEHOUSE America. “It’s imperative that we deliver an efficient and comprehensive end-to-end digital transformation journey to our customers. That’s why we’re dedicated to offering best-in-class security, support, and trust-based services from the data center to our customers’ customers — the completion of the journey. Having achieved both certifications, our clients can be assured that TELEHOUSE America meets and maintains the highest standards, and that they can rely on our processes and protocols to safely and securely manage their data.”

During the SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit, TELEHOUSE America’s controls relevant to Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), as well as non-financial reporting controls, were tested. The reports, delivered by KirkpatrickPrice, verified the suitability of the design and operational effectiveness of TELEHOUSE America’s controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy and confirmed their processes meet the standards stipulated by the AICPA and SSAE 18.

“Many of TELEHOUSE America’s clients rely on them to protect consumer information,” said Joseph Kirkpatrick, President of KirkpatrickPrice. “As a result, TELEHOUSE America has implemented best practice controls demanded by their clients to address information security and compliance risks. Our third-party opinion validates these controls, and the tests we perform provide assurance to TELEHOUSE America’s clients.”
