Epsilon Becomes a London Internet Exchange Diamond Partner and Reaches the Highest Tier of LINX’s Partner Programme

Epsilon has been serving the growing demand for remote peering at LINX since 2016.

Singapore, 13 July 2021 – Epsilon, a global connectivity provider, has been awarded the Diamond partner status by the London Internet Exchange (LINX) as a member of its ConneXions Partner Programme. Epsilon’s recent expansion of its managed capacity for connecting customers to the exchange via its Remote Peering service has enabled it to achieve the highest LINX ConneXions Reseller Partner tier.

Epsilon’s multiple dedicated ports across the LINX network bring customers from all around the world to peer at LINX’s major interconnection hubs. Remote Peering, an ethernet service available on Epsilon’s Network as a Service (NaaS) platform Infiny, directly connects users to LINX via its global network. The service offers flexible and scalable bandwidth options for customers to connect from anywhere to LINX for peering and other interconnection services.

“This past year we have seen a surge in the demand for peering globally. As end users become increasingly hyper-sensitive to overall digital experience and downtime, building a strong relationship with LINX has been a priority for us to deliver a seamless peering solution to our customers,” said Michel Robert, Chief Executive Officer at Epsilon. “As a Diamond partner, we look forward to continuing to grow our partnership with LINX and facilitate more customers’ access into one of the world’s most important IXs.”

Epsilon connects its customers to LINX’s LON1 and LON2 networks in London, as well as the LINX NoVA exchange in Northern Virginia, US. Customers can use Infiny for on-demand connectivity to remotely peer at LINX with full control and visibility over the network. Remote Peering removes the need for heavy investment in physical infrastructure, so customers benefit from cost-efficient virtual presence across markets, to bring their users closer to their content.

“Epsilon’s customers peering at our exchanges have access to 990 ASNs connecting from over 80 different countries worldwide. They can exchange traffic with world-leading carriers, cloud service providers, content providers, OTTs and a whole range of organisations. With more players joining our ecosystem, partners have more options and opportunities to benefit from peering,” said Jennifer Holmes, CCO at LINX. “Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen new record traffic peaks of over 6Tbps, a global connected capacity of over 40Tbps and an increasing demand for peering in London. We look forward to continuing to grow this thriving ecosystem with Epsilon.”

The LINX ConneXions Partner programme allows member networks to add an additional port to resell LINX capacity as part of their product and service range. Networks climb tiers, from an official partner to Diamond status, depending on the size of the port, traffic and locations resold. LINX boasts many global partners, and this remains a key part of the company’s growth strategy.
