ORLANDO, Fla. (March 1, 2021) – Summit Broadband (“Summit”), a leading fiber-optics telecommunications provider in Central and Southwest Florida, today announces it has added 140 route miles of fiber in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Petersburg area. Summit provides its fiber-based solutions – including internet, phone, video and managed services – to residential, business, hospitality and wholesale customers, as well as educational institutions, including grades K-12.
The addition to Summit’s wholly owned infrastructure establishes a conduit and fiber network in and around Hillsborough County that provides Summit with a solid foothold to build out its network and significantly improve the quality of services provided to the surrounding communities. Summit will use new fiber through existing conduit, giving customers a new choice for their telecom services.
“This latest addition reinforces Summit’s commitment to make strategic investments as we grow our network footprint,” says Summit’s CEO Kevin Coyne. “We think this area has needed an injection of technological investment, and we are coming in with our purpose-built solutions for the entire community. Customers now have another choice in service providers.”
“Being a Florida-based company, we live in the communities we serve,” adds Coyne. “We invest in our communities because it benefits everyone. The relationship created by that partnership results in customers feeling valued and proud to be part of the Summit Broadband family.”
Services on the new network will be available beginning in the May 2021 timeframe.
