Tamuning, Guam (January 11, 2021) – DOCOMO PACIFIC, regional leader in innovation, telecommunications, & entertainment, will receive funds through the Rural Development Opportunity Fund (“RDOF”) to increase connectivity in the Northern Mariana Islands.
The Federal Communications Commission recently auctioned $9.2 billion of funding nationwide for high-speed (atleast 25 Mbps) broadband rollout in rural areas that are unserved by voice and broadband. Among the winning bidders of RDOF funds, DOCOMO PACIFIC will receive a small share of the nationwide funding in installments over the next ten years to improve connectivity in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
