Flexential® Announces Additional Power and Space in Atlanta Data Center

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Nov. 10 – Flexential, a leading provider of data center colocation, cloud and connectivity, today announced it would add 3MW of power and 20,000 square feet of floor space to its Alpharetta, Ga. data center. The extra space and power, which will be available in January 2021, will bring the data center to 143,000 total square feet and 6 MW of power. Flexential will have a total of 175,000 sq. ft and more than 8 MW in the Atlanta metro market and 590,000 sq. ft. and 28 MW across the Southeastern Region.

Current and anticipated business demands from customers offering essential services drove the need for the expansion at Flexential’s Atlanta-Alpharetta data center. These businesses in healthcare, transportation, financial services, and other industries are serving the community during the pandemic. To prepare for a possible influx of COVID-19 cases, the hospital converted an adjacent acute care facility and half of its parking deck into COVID units.
