Wildfire Relief

Network Status

September 9, 2020 2:00 p.m. CST

We continue to closely monitor the fires in California and the Pacific Northwest. Our network is holding up well and is experiencing very minimal impacts from fire damage or power outages. In fact, it is operating at above 99% of normal in California and Washington and nearly 98% of normal in Oregon despite wildfire activity.

We monitor our network 24/7 both locally and nationally and we will continue to do so during these wildfires because we remain committed to supporting our customers, including first responders, and our employees in the affected communities. Our teams have deployed generators across California, Washington and Oregon and while some areas aren’t accessible at this time, our teams are assessing and repairing damage as quickly and safely as conditions allow. Our local and regional Network support teams and the Network Disaster Recovery (NDR) team, in partnership with the FirstNet team at AT&T, are prepared with network assets in California and the Pacific Northwest for quick deployment if needed.

Wireless Customer Relief Offer

September 9, 2020 1:00 p.m. CST

To keep AT&T wireless and AT&T PREPAID customers in areas directly affected by California, Oregon and Washington wildfires connected during this difficult time, we’re providing unlimited talk, text and data access. This offer is for customers based in 40 specific zip codes and runs from September 9, 2020 through September 13, 2020.

To make this possible we’re automatically issuing credits and waiving additional service charges for AT&T wireless customers with billing addresses and AT&T PREPAID customers with phone numbers in directly impacted zip codes* at this time.1

Customers in these areas may still receive alerts during these dates, but accounts will reflect the credits and/or waived data, voice and text charges.
