Lenexa, KS (July 14, 2020) – WANRack, a provider of private fiber-optic Wide-Area Networks (WANs), celebrates a banner year, signing $30 million worth of new contracts to design, build and lease private high-speed networks to a diverse group of new customers coast to coast. The company’s robust networks now span the nation, from Washington state to Florida.
The 12-month period ending June 30, also known as “E-Rate Season” because of the application window for a federal program that helps schools obtain affordable broadband Internet access, saw more schools discover the advantages of a private WANRack network than in any previous year. WANRack networks are capable of delivering speeds of 100 Gigabytes per second and beyond.
“Affordable high-speed Internet access has never been more crucial for schools – as well as cities, counties, libraries, hospitals and other entities – to operate successfully and efficiently,” said Rob Oyler, WANRack CEO and Founder. “We are thrilled to offer so many new customers an affordable, reliable and secure high-speed option that is vastly superior to their public network alternatives, which are consistently oversubscribed and vulnerable to endless points of failure.”
With this historic year netting $30 million in new contracts, the WANRack executive management team has now sold and installed networks for nearly 200 school districts nationwide. The company is committed to bringing an affordable fiber network option that offers unlimited bandwidth to customers of all sizes, in any geographic region.
In 2014, WANRack entered the market when it broke ground on the company’s inaugural networks in just two states. Today, the company has a commanding nationwide presence in 23
states, up from 14 just two years ago. Beyond the K-12 school market, WANRack continues to diversify into other areas of business, with a new contract to provide fiber service to a large nationwide wireless carrier.
