Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, announces the launch of “The Global Backbone Experience”, a new website dedicated to Sparkle’s network that enables “The World’s Communication Platform” announced by the company’s payoff.
Designed by Havas Milan, Sparkle’s Global Backbone is a new interactive map, with no equals in the industry, that follows and develops the video “The World’s Communication Network” launched in 2019. The website focuses on Sparkle’s global network – an ever-expanding fibre-optic intelligent system of more than 540,000 km, featuring the latest technology in order to deliver the most sophisticated communications, products and services – and offers the possibility to navigate through it and discover all of Sparkle’s assets.
Fully integrated into the corporate website, Sparkle’s Global Backbone has been designed based on the Google Maps Platform, resulting in an excellent, dynamic and engaging browsing experience for users, that includes the ability to zoom and have a detailed view of all terrestrial fibre and international submarine cables and assets. The website also features an easy search tool by location and a complete and comprehensive view of the services offered in each asset, as well as a contact form to request additional information or quotations.
The graphic design of the new Global Backbone is in line with the look & feel of the firm’s institutional website and communication, both ATL and BTL, thus ensuring consistency with Sparkle’s brand identity. A tailor-made Content Management System (CMS) and a customized database simplify content revision and integration.
The Global Backbone website was conceived in the framework of a long-term communication strategy with two main goals: illustrating the global reach of Sparkle’s network that enables “The World’s Communication Platform” while sustaining the company’s global re-branding; and leveraging on the “The World’s Communication Network” campaign to promote and sustain Sparkle’s technologically advanced global network. Sparkle’s positioning as “The World’s Communication Network” is thus strengthened by the new Global Backbone that embodies it.
Planned on web and social channels, the Global Backbone will also be promoted on international trade media during the second half of 2020.
