Mumbai, India, 24th July 2020: Internet pioneer and DE-CIX<https://www.de-cix.net> Chief Executive Officer Harald A. Summa has been elected as one of three Co-Chairs of the Organization Member Advisory Council<https://www.internetsociety.org/about-internet-society/organization-members/omac/> (OMAC) of the Internet Society<https://www.internetsociety.org/> (ISOC). The Internet Society Organization Member Advisory Council serves as an advisory body to the Internet Society senior management and board, on matters affecting the general welfare and effectiveness of the global Internet and its users. All three share the duties of convening meetings, communicating with members and moving the OMAC to its stated purpose of advising the leadership of the Internet Society on matters of strategic and operational importance. The remaining two Co-Chairs elected are senior managers from Amazon and Facebook. The chairs are elected for a period of 24 months.
