We Are Pleased the Supreme Court Ruled in Favor of Continuing DACA

As supporters of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), we are pleased to see the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the continuation of the program.

This ruling allows nearly 700,000 young immigrants who came to this country as children – some of whom are AT&T employees – to continue to have the opportunity to work and study in America without the threat of deportation. These are people who grew up in America, registered with the government, submitted to extensive background checks, and are giving back to our communities and paying taxes.

In 2017, AT&T joined with hundreds of other U.S. companies in calling on the President and Congress to support the continuation of the Deferred Action. We remain strong advocates for congressional action that offers DACA recipients a permanent solution on their legal status to work and study in America.

Our commitment to our employees and individuals who are protected by DACA is to stand for equality. We will continue to provide legal counsel as necessary to protect the rights of any AT&T employees covered under DACA and will take advantage of any other opportunities to advocate on their behalf.
