AT&T Business Empowers Small Businesses to Elevate Their Brands
Small Business Live Concert, presented by Superfly, Benefitting the Opportunity Fund Takes Place on June 20
As small business owners continue to face unprecedented challenges as a result of the pandemic, AT&T Business is empowering them with tools and resources to help recover and reinvigorate their businesses through social media.
The efforts are two-fold. First, in collaboration with Fullscreen Media, AT&T Business today unveiled their free, downloadable guide, the AT&T Small Business Social Media Playbook. Second, AT&T Business is also supporting small business recovery efforts by sponsoring the Small Business Live, a globally syndicated philanthropic virtual music experience presented by Superfly.
Growth through ‘getting social’
Recent reports have found that as many as 71% of consumers would recommend a brand to others following a good social media experience. The five-part series aims to equip current and aspiring small business owners to use the power of social media to give their businesses a boost.
Each guide was developed with the help of Fullscreen, a leader in social-first entertainment experiences, serving talent and brands through creative, strategy, and marketing that enable growth, engagement, and monetization of their audiences.
The first installment, Developing Your Social Purpose: Tips on how to get social in a socially-distanced world, is available now. It provides tips for how to best identify and engage with target audiences, develop a business’ voice and make it stand out.
Each new installment will publish every other Thursday at business.att.com until the series concludes, and the next chapter will be available on July 2, 2020. Future topics include:
- July 2, 2020 – Understanding Social Platforms
- July 16, 2020 – Creating Content with Your Audience in Mind
- July 30, 2020 – Expanding Audiences
- August 13, 2020 – Measuring Success
“Connecting and engaging with customers is a tall task for small businesses even in normal times. In the current environment, it’s crucial. But it takes expertise, and it can be a huge disadvantage if it isn’t accessible,” said Sarita Rao, Senior Vice President, Marketing, AT&T Business. “It’s important to give small businesses—the backbone of local communities—every chance to grow and thrive as the country recovers.”
Big names, small stages for Small Business Live Virtual Concert on June 20
AT&T is also using the power of music to support small businesses as a sponsor of Small Business Live, a globally syndicated virtual music experience presented by Superfly.
Taking place on June 20, 2020 from 4:00pm ET to 10:00pm ET, some of music’s biggest stars including Ms. Lauryn Hill, 2Chainz, T-Pain and Brittany Howard, will perform at local small businesses significant to them. Each artist will also share with viewers their personal stories behind what those businesses mean to them and their communities.
The event will be livestreamed on TikTok and more. Viiewers will be encouraged to donate online and via text with all proceeds benefiting the Accion Opportunity Fund. The Accion Opportunity Fund will provide grant assistance to small businesses hit hardest by COVID-19, with a focus on those that are run by people of color.
