The new facility is a combination of debt and equity, all of which will be used to accelerate construction of the DF&I Northern, VA and MD Network Footprint. Having recently completed a Twenty-two conduit Ashburn Loop through Northern Virginia’s “Data Center Alley”, the Company is aggressively moving northeast to facilitate access between the existing dark fiber network operators and customers in MD and DF&I’s unique Potomac River Crossing providing diversity and dramatic latency reduction between MD and Ashburn, VA. “We are thrilled to have found a financial partner with experience in this space and confidence in the vision DF&I has for hyperscale dark fiber and dedicated conduit networks,” said Co-Founder and Co-CEO, John Schmitt. “Where we have infrastructure, DF&I currently has the largest open access network available for sale or lease in the region and we are going to be disruptive wherever we go.
