When 9 p.m. ET rolls around tonight, a first-of-its-kind show will premiere for the world’s esports fans. The Nines¸ presented by AT&T, is a new weekly news digest show produced by Cloud 9 from AT&T’s Los Angeles Broadcast Center studios in Marina del Rey, Calif. – the same location that the DIRECTV NFL SUNDAY TICKET REDZONE channel produces its coverage Sundays during football season.
“When we say we want our sponsorship investments to bring our customers and others closer to the sports and entertainment they love, this is the perfect example along with the NBA 2K League Locked In series that we also support,” says Shiz Suzuki, assistant vice president of Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing, AT&T Communications. “The Nines is the latest new, original content that our sponsorship investments allow organizations like Cloud 9 to create, for the benefit of fans across the globe.”
Live each week, The 9s at 9 p.m. ET on Cloud 9’s Twitch and YouTube channels, will provide fans with an in-depth, 45-60 minute show with a behind-the-scenes look into Cloud 9 – North America’s most popular esports organization fielding 14 teams across game titles such as League of Legends, Rocket League, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and World of Warcraft. Providing team highlights, player profiles, a look at upcoming tournaments and other esports news from across the organization and its partners, the show aims to build Cloud 9’s fanbase and give viewers access to the Cloud 9 players and events like never before.

In addition to The Nines, AT&T’s support for esports is bringing fans an unprecedented look at the NBA 2K League through the ongoing docu-series NBA 2K League: Locked In powered by AT&T that explores players’ lives off of the virtual court.
The fifth episode is scheduled to air later this week during a live broadcast on the on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube Channels and will take you behind the scenes with a look at Father’s Day and the dads who support and play in the NBA 2K League. Fans can watch prior episodes, starting with “Building and Rebuilding” – the first episode that focuses on NetsGC and Mavs Gaming, two teams at different points in their development but facing the similar challenge of building new identities around a franchise player. The second episode “A Tale of Two Rookies” follows two players that have had entirely different paths to the league. Looking at the other dimensions of two players, episode three “The Art of the Game” showcases the artistic endeavors of Nacho Traynor (T-Wolves Gaming) and KingCamRoyalty (Magic Gaming). Episode four “What Happens When the NBA 2K League Goes to Vegas” follows the league on the road to Las Vegas as it prepares for and hosts THE TURN powered by AT&T.
Starting Thursday, Watch the NBA 2K League’s Teams Play Live from Orlando in THE TICKET powered by AT&T
Esports fans will not want to miss the live gameplay as all 21 teams of the NBA 2K League will compete for a $180,000 prize pool later this week during THE TICKET powered by AT&T in Orlando. It’s the third and final tournament of THE BANNER CHAIN powered by AT&T that included THE TIPOFF in April and THE TURN in May. As part of its NBA sponsorship, AT&T has sponsored the NBA 2K League’s second season to bring esports action closer to fans.
THE TICKET’s 20-game, single elimination tournament will be livestreamed on the League’s Twitch and YouTube channels over the course of three days (Thursday starting at 4 p.m. ET, Friday starting at 5 p.m. ET, Saturday starting at 1 p.m. ET with the Championship Game at 7 p.m. ET).
Fans can also catch the “AT&T Game Day Show” airing in connection with THE TICKET. Those in Orlando can purchase tickets at NBA2KLeague.com. The winning team this Saturday is guaranteed a spot in the 2019 NBA 2K League Playoffs starting July 24.
