Colt to connect to Oracle FastConnect in Japan; as Oracle furthers its footprint in Asia
Colt Technology Services continues to drive secure, reliable, low latency and high bandwidth connectivity to the Oracle Cloud as it furthers its presence in Japan.
Tokyo, Japan, 16 May 2019 – Colt Technology Services, a leading provider of agile, high-bandwidth connectivity solutions and a Silver level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it would offer dedicated and private access to Oracle Cloud in Japan through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect.
The extension of the relationship between Oracle and Colt will allow customers both globally and in the region to utilize Colt’s Dedicated Cloud Access (DCA) to offer secure and reliable private network connectivity to the Oracle Cloud. This means that organizations can establish public cloud connectivity from their data center, office or colocation environment, which drives cost efficiencies, increases bandwidth throughput, and provides a low latency and more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections.
Colt and Oracle announced their initial collaboration in October of last year, and as Oracle expands its footprint to Japan, Colt’s global presence is there to ensure customers can take advantage of Oracle’s advanced integrated cloud platform.
Through collaboration with Colt, Oracle customers will also benefit from reliable network access to their cloud data and applications via the Colt IQ Network, which in Asia comprises of 90 data centers and 2,500 on net buildings. Globally, the Colt IQ Network is made up of more than 850 data centers and over 27,500 enterprise buildings. This means improved performance, enhanced control, flexibility, and scalability that can provide access to critical business data and functions.
“The expansion of Oracle’s services and cloud offering to Japan is incredibly exciting for the region,” said Kenji Hioki, Colt Technology Services President, CCO and Regional Executive for Asia.
“This signals to the wider market the importance of the Asia region, and Colt is ready to further our partnership with Oracle to ensure that organizations in Japan have access to a superior cloud networking experience that will enable them to drive forward their digital transformations.”
