AT&T Providing Support for Those Impacted by Ohio Tornadoes

In the wake of Monday’s devastating tornadoes, AT&T* is bringing in network equipment, relief supplies and mobile charging stations for affected Ohio residents.

Our first priority is keeping our customers connected. We know how critical communications are, so we’re working to deploy two SatCOLTs (Cell on Light Truck) to affected areas. Overall our network continues to perform well. We are engaged with key officials working on restoration efforts, including local and county officials. Our teams are prepared to deploy additional network recovery assets and equipment if needed.

With the tornadoes leaving many without power, we want to provide a way for residents to charge their devices, so they can stay connected with loved ones. We have set up charging stations at the following locations:

Corinthian Baptist Church, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd., Dayton, OH 45402
Morton Middle School, 8555 Peters Pike, Vandalia, OH 45377

In addition to the mobile charging stations, AT&T employees will hand out water and nonperishable snacks at these locations to those impacted.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by yesterday’s tornados,” said AT&T Ohio president Adam Grzybicki. “At AT&T, we are committed to providing communication resources needed every day and especially so in times like these. We are also committed to doing what we can to help residents recover from this disaster, including helping them stay in touch with loved ones when they need to most.”

To keep AT&T wireless and AT&T PREPAID customers affected by the recent tornados in Ohio connected during this difficult time, we’re providing unlimited talk, text and data access. This offer is for customers based in 46 specific zip codes and runs from May 29, 2019 through June 5, 2019.

To make this possible we’re automatically issuing credits and waiving additional service charges for AT&T wireless customers with billing addresses and AT&T PREPAID customers with phone numbers in 46 zip codes* at this time.1
Customers in these areas may still receive alerts during these dates, but accounts will reflect the credits and/or waived data, voice and text charges.
