Anritsu Showcasing Test Solutions to Verify High-speed Networks During Design, Production, and I&M at OFC 2019

Instruments to Address 400G/800G, PAM4 and Other High-speed Technologies to be Displayed by Global Test Leader

Allen, TX – March 6, 2019 – Anritsu Company will address the test needs of engineers responsible for designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining high-speed networks utilizing emerging technologies in its booth (#2931) during OFC 2019. A portfolio of test solutions to verify components, interconnects, systems, and networks that incorporate 400G/800G, PAM4, and other high-speed technologies will be on display.

High-speed Data Center Interoperability

Support for the high-speed requirements of data centers for 5G and next-generation applications will be shown in demonstrations featuring the Network Master Pro™ MT1000A optical transport tester and Network Master™ Flex MT1100A, as well as Cailabs’ novel Multi Plane Light Conversion (MPLC) technology, and Panduit’s industry-leading optical connectivity and infrastructure. One will consist of 4x 10Gbase-ER 1550 nm optics for combined 40 Gb/s Ethernet traffic while the other will feature 2x 100G-CWDM4 optics to create a combined 200 Gb/s Ethernet traffic. In both demonstrations, 2 km of standard OM2 MMF will be used for signal transmission.

Ethernet Alliance Demonstration

Anritsu will be a part of the Ethernet Alliance’s demonstrations held in its booth (#4749). The interactive presentations will feature technologies ranging from interoperable 10GbE to 400GbE solutions, as well as PAM4 technologies, and a live 400GbE network spanning a half-dozen booths. The Network Master Pro MT1000A and Network Master Flex MT1100A will generate Ethernet traffic during the demonstrations.

PAM4 Support

OFC will serve as the first showing of four PAM4 BERT options for Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A. The options add multichannel synchronization, multilane FEC pattern generation for 400GbE, Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) stressed signal generation, and application software. Engineers can more accurately and efficiently evaluate the bit error rate (BER) of 400GbE transceivers and devices, as well as DSP used by high-speed interfaces with the expanded BERT.

The MP1900A will be integrated with the BERTWave™ MP2110A solution for demonstrations on high-speed optical devices, such as a 56 Gbps small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module from Finisar. In one display, 200G/400G PAM4 BER and jitter tolerance tests will be conducted on a TE Connectivity QSF-DD device under test (DUT). The MP1900A and BERTWave will also be integrated with the MS9740A optical spectrum analyzer to conduct 100G module/active optical cable (AOC) jitter tolerance tests.

Engineers conducting PAM4 TDECQ measurements to verify 400G optical chips and modules comply with IEEE, OIF/CEI, and IBTA will be interested in the MP1900A and BERTWave™ MP2110A solution. A configuration leveraging the same instruments will conduct 200G/400G PAM4 BER and jitter tolerance testing.

Anritsu will also show test solutions to meet the needs of other high-speed application. For 5G back haul optical testing, the MT1000A, MT1100A, and ACCESS Master™ MT9085A will be shown. To conduct accurate E/O and O/E measurements, Anritsu will show its VectorStar® MS4647B and ShockLine™ MS46524B-040 VNAs, along with the MN4765B characterized, unamplified O/E calibration photodiode module.
