Anritsu to Introduce First Field Instrument Providing 3D Indoor and Outdoor Coverage Mapping for 5G NR at IWCE 2019

New Spectrum Analysis Tool Part of Test Portfolio Used for Network Infrastructure, Interference Mitigation, and Maintenance and Repair of Public Safety Networks

Allen, TX – March 5, 2019 – Anritsu Company (booth #824), in conjunction with TRX Systems, will introduce the industry’s first field solution that provides 3D indoor and outdoor coverage mapping for 5G New Radio (5G NR) at IWCE 2019. The solution, which integrates the Field Master Pro™ MS2090A handheld RF spectrum analyzer with the MA8100A TRX NEON® Signal Mapper, is part of Anritsu’s field test solution portfolio used by engineers and technicians responsible for the network infrastructure, interference mitigation, and maintenance and repair of public safety networks.

The integrated field test solution allows wireless professionals deploying 5G NR to conduct more accurate measurements than conventional instruments using 2D data to ensue 5G NR networks meet performance specifications both indoors and outside. When used outside and in sight of GPS satellites, the solution will use GPS data to continuously track the user while making measurements. Where GPS is not available, the TRX NEON solution delivers 3D location and mapping of measurement data inside buildings, underground and in other GPS-denied areas. In addition to the unique 3D tracking capability, NEON Signal Mapper provides exceptional indoor coverage mapping capabilities.

FirstNet Compatibility

To ensure public safety systems are FirstNet compatible, Anritsu will be showcasing the Network Master Pro™ MT1000A optical transport tester. The all-in-one optical solution can be used to test xHaul (mobile fronthaul/mobile backhaul) fiber connections to ensure FirstNet networks are in compliance with standards.

Public Safety Network Maintenance and Repair

Among the solutions for field maintenance and repair will be the industry leading LMR Master™ S412E. The handheld field analyzer is ideal for land mobile radio (LMR) and professional mobile radio (PMR) technicians and engineers responsible for field testing the RF performance of NBFM, P25, P25 Phase 2 (TDMA), DMR (MotoTRBO), TETRA, NXDN, dPMR, and LTE for commercial, public safety, maritime, and critical infrastructure radio systems. It also offers support for USA Class 1 railway Positive Train Control systems.

Other public safety network solutions Anritsu will display at IWCE are the ACCESS Master™ MT9085 series, Site Master™ S362E, Site Master™ UltraPortable Cable and Antenna Analyzer S331P, and Spectrum Master™ MS2760A USB spectrum analyzer.

For interference mitigation of public safety networks, Anritsu will be displaying the Remote Spectrum Monitor MS27102A and Mobile Interference Hunter MX28007A. The MS27102A is a full-featured platform for monitoring and recording signals in user-specified frequencies to mitigate interference problems and identify illegal or unlicensed signal activity. The Mobile Interference Hunter is designed to locate interfering signals operating anywhere in the frequency band covered by the spectrum analyzer it is used with. It can be used to locate intentional radiators, such as jammers and illegal “black” base stations, as well as unintentional radiators, such as PIM.
