Long-term alliance provides sports fans with major video programming, integrated fantasy sports products
NEW YORK CITY & STAMFORD, CONN. – Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports Group today announced a renewal of their multifaceted alliance that combines the massive scale, content and innovative experiences of Yahoo Sports along with its fantasy sports games, with the wide-ranging content, acclaimed production value and video assets of the NBC Sports Group, including Golf Channel, the NBC Sports Regional Sports Networks and Rotoworld.
The alliance will continue driving best-in-class experiences around mobile sports, leveraging Yahoo Sports’ leading mobile experience for sports fans, the Yahoo Sports App. Additionally of note, the partnership will create more impactful editorial collaboration, particularly targeting major coverage for NBC Sports’ and Yahoo Sports’ audiences that include NFL, NHL, Premier League, motorsports, golf, horse racing, and local team and regional sports. Fantasy sports will also continue to play an important and complementary aspect of the partnership with NBC Sports’ Rotoworld supplying fantasy news coverage and promotion around the award-winning Yahoo Fantasy Sports platform.
The Yahoo Sports/NBC Sports Group digital alliance first kicked off in December 2012. An indication of its success can be reflected in comScore which, as of December, 2018, Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports combined for a domestic total of 56.5M unique, multi-platform visitors and 207M minutes of desktop video streaming, ranking 4th and 2nd respectively across the comScore Sports category in the United States.

Live Sports: Yahoo Sports will expand its live sports offering for users on mobile and desktop with access to NBC Sports’ robust line-up of live streaming properties, including NHL, Notre Dame Football, NASCAR & IndyCar auto racing, Premier League soccer, Triple Crown horse racing, PGA TOUR and other top golf events.
Golf Channel: Yahoo Sports and Golf Channel plan to develop deeper, editorial and programming integrations geared around Golf Channel’s expansive PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, and European Tour coverage.
NBC Sports Regional Networks: The NBC Sports Regional Networks will provide regional and team-specific news and video on the NFL, NBA, MLB teams they cover in Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area to Yahoo Sports fans.
Rotoworld + Yahoo Sports Fantasy Games: NBC’s premier fantasy news and information site, Rotoworld has enjoyed a long-standing alliance with Yahoo Fantasy Sports games and award-winning platform, and will continue to partner together for season-long fantasy football, baseball, hockey, basketball, soccer, golf and motorsports content and video, providing fantasy players with even richer experiences.
