Huawei 5G Truck Bring 5G to Public and Invite Ecosystem to Explore 5G Together

[Rome, Italy, November 8, 2018] Huawei 5G Demo Truck will be in front of the Rome Convention Center (The Cloud) open to the Huawei Europe Innovation Day and Huawei Eco-Connect Europe from 7 to 9 November. Huawei 5G demo truck comes this year with the end to end portfolio of 5G products and solutions with full range, full scenario, and all-cloud being the defining characteristics.

Under the slogan “5G is now”, those in attendance have had the opportunity to experience real use cases in various industries, to know the company’s broad portfolio of 5G solutions and products.

Before the roadshow in Rome, Huawei 5G Demo Truck had toured ten European countries, made roadshow in 38 cities, and received more than 7000 visitors over the past seven months.

During the visits by media, government representatives and top technical universities teachers and students in Spain, some of the attendees mentioned:”The technologies and demos seen inside the truck are mesmerizing. It has been an amazing opportunity to get to know first-hand more about what Huawei is doing regarding 5G, the solution presentations are very interesting, and it has been a great experience.”

And during the roadshow in Guernsey, UK. “Everybody is talking about 5G technology and what it could mean for our digital futures, but not many people have had the opportunity to experience it so we’re excited to bring Huawei’s 5G exhibition truck to the island to enable local businesses, the government, customers and the public to get a better understanding of what the technology can do.” Justin Bellinger, Sure’s Chief Digital Officer, said.

Shi Mao, CMO of Huawei West Europe, emphasised: “The Demo Truck bring Huawei’s latest 5G products and solutions to the public, increasing public awareness of 5G and trying to speed up 5G development in Europe. And the 5G road show has achieved good results in the past seven months. Huawei has invested heavily in 5G in West Europe, established three 5G R&D center in Germany, Italy and Sweden with hundreds of 5G experts, established six 5G joint innovation labs with operators. Huawei proactively participated in five EU 5G-PPP research projects and three 5G national pilot projects in UK and Italy, as well as the delivering of many pre-commercial sites for telcos, we started to prepare for the large-scale delivery of 5G in Europe. Huawei believes that 5G will enable Europe’s digitalization and is determined to work with European partners to strengthen Europe’s 5G position in global.

Huawei is a global leader in the development of 5G technology and a pioneer in the research and development of this technology, in which it has been investing since 2009. In 2018, Huawei unveiled a full range of end-to-end (E2E) 3GPP-compliant 5G product solutions. This release covers the core network, the bearer network, base station, and terminals during World Mobile World Congress (MWC).

It is estimated that, in 2025, there will be 40 billion personal intelligent devices and 100 billion connections across the world. As the market demand grows, Huawei now can provide a full range of 5G products to guarantee an optimum deployment of the 5G technology, which include 5G core network, 5G bearer network, 5G base station, and 5G terminals including the current World’s only commercial terminal — Huawei’s 5G customer premise equipment (CPE) developed based on the 3GPP standards and chipset architecture.

Additionally, Huawei keeps the leadership on 5G use case collaboration and contribution to develop a 5G ecosystem through its X Labs, from which it works with over 280 partners on real cases in vertical sectors, such as virtual reality, connected cars, drones, e-Health and Industry 4.0, among others.

Huawei is cooperating with industry partners to the development of 5G industry and business, contributing to the 5G industry ecosystem. Huawei coordinate and cooperate with all industry to promote the founding of the cross-industry organization, such as 5G Slicing Association (5GSA), 5G Automotive Association (5GAA), 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation(5G-ACIA). The End-to-End 5G industry ecosystem come to be mature, and the intelligent connected world is at hand.
