On Oct. 1, the world’s first commercial 5G service launches. And this week, we opened for business with Verizon 5G Home now available for order in Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Sacramento at FirstOn5G.com.
5G Home is built on the world’s first and only 5G Ultra Wideband Network and Verizon is first in the world to provide a commercial 5G service, with plans for rapid broadband internet, and 5G mobility service.
And in other Verizon news of the week:
- The Verizon Foundation gives a $1 million grant to the American Red Cross to assist in Hurricane Florence relief efforts
- We also help customers prepare for the hurricane with free calling, text and data as well as preparing our network for the storm
- We grow the 5G ecosystem with new labs to be located in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Palo Alto, CA and Waltham, MA
- Preorders for the most advanced iPhones ever begin today, Sept. 14
