Calix ConneXions 2018 Expands Program to Highlight the Power of Broadband for Utility and Municipal Operators

Through partnerships with Utilities Technology Council and Mountain Connect, new workshops and symposiums provide fiber innovators with engaging educational and networking opportunities

PETALUMA, CA – September 4, 2018 – Calix, Inc. (NYSE:CALX, news, filings) today announced an expanded lineup of Calix ConneXions 2018 special events with co-hosted workshops on Sunday afternoon from the Utilities Technology Council (UTC) and Mountain Connect. These new events allow ConneXions attendees to benefit from expanded perspectives delivered by some of the leading industry organizations, all included with their ConneXions registration. UTC will host its fall workshop, the Utilities Broadband Conference to continue to assist utilities with developing comprehensive broadband deployment strategies. In addition, Mountain Connect will extend the reach of its annual broadband development conference with the Smart City Symposium to educate leaders of municipalities on best practices for implementing Smart City technology and infrastructure.

“Calix ConneXions has established its place as one of the industry’s leading educational conferences and these new focused events allow us to share that experience with different types of broadband service providers,” said Matt Collins, Chief Marketing Officer at Calix. “Our partnerships with UTC and Mountain Connect will enable utility companies and municipal broadband operators to attend additional events tailored to their specific business objectives, while also attending our keynote presentations and breakout sessions to expose them to industry-wide innovations, trends, and networking opportunities. We are excited to extend the invitation to these companies and help them evolve their businesses and service offerings through the lessons to be learned at ConneXions.”

UTC is the trusted resource for its utilities members to deploy technologies and solutions that deliver secure, reliable, and affordable mission critical services.
