After adding two new enabled sites earlier this year, Equinix will be the fourth DE-CIX-enabled site at DE-CIX Dusseldorf. Customers at the Equinix data center now only need a cross connect to connect to DE-CIX Dusseldorf and therewith can peer at DE-CIX in Dusseldorf (GlobePEER service), peer with 800+ networks in Frankfurt (GlobePEER Remote service), and use additional interconnection services like DE-CIX DirectCLOUD.
The additional enabled site is in line with the constant customer growth at DE-CIX Dusseldorf. Meanwhile, more than 60 networks peer in Dusseldorf, a growth of 180 percent in comparison to the end of 2017.
“We are continuing on the road to expansion in our Dusseldorf location. Since the beginning of the year, we have been able to extend our services to three further data centers. Overall, we have had enormous success with our strong focus on the German locations – alongside our flagship Frankfurt – Munich, Hamburg and Dusseldorf. Our customer numbers especially in these locations have grown by at least 100 percent,” says Dr. Thomas King, Chief Innovation Officer at DE-CIX.
Networks can now connect to DE-CIX at four DE-CIX-enabled sites in Dusseldorf: in the Interxion data center, two myLoc data centers, and the Equinix data center. Equinix data centers are also enabled sites at our exchanges in Frankfurt, Istanbul, Munich, Madrid, and New York.
