Another State Means Another District Added to WANRack’s Growing List Of Private Fiber Network Builds

WANRack is currently in 18 states but is rapidly growing across the nation.

LENEXA, KS (August 7, 2018) —WANRack continues to make their way across the nation in pursuit of becoming the premier private fiber WAN provider for the K-12 education space. The Lake Geneva school district is now home to the first WANRack wide area network (WAN) in Wisconsin.

“I had the privilege of spending several years of my early fiber career in Wisconsin. So happy to be back delivering another school district WAN. Our footprint will continue to penetrate deep within this great state as more prospects are introduced to our guaranteed solutions.”

WANRack will be delivering 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) to each school. The district will have the ability to grow to 100 Gbps and beyond at any time.

The new network delivers incredibly faster speeds than their prior network, allowing them to provide opportunities they were never able to obtain. The district can now add services and applications that were once restricted due to network bottlenecks.

“WANRack provided an excellent solution for our district. They were professional and knowledgeable during the entire installation process,” said Dan Schmidt, Director of Technology for Lake Geneva School District. “WANRack’s solution is unique and will be the last network we ever need, due to its scalability”.

The advantage of WANRack compared to most telephone and cable incumbents is that they provide their customers with a dedicated rack-to-rack fiber network that is never oversubscribed nor shared. A WANRack provided WAN delivers robust physical security and massive scalability, permitting the district to open new doors into the digital age for their students and staff.

WANRack provides high-bandwidth, fiber-based communications networks and related services to schools throughout the United States. Service offerings include E-Rate- compliant lit fiber, dark fiber, and special construction solutions. Headquartered in Lenexa, Kan., WANRack’s executive management team has been providing Fiber Optic WANs to school districts since 2005.
