Whether you’re in San Francisco, New York City, Dallas, Chicago – or in any of the many places in between – you can count on Verizon to keep you chatting, streaming, gaming, connecting, and more.
The latest results from RootMetrics® – a company that logs more than half a million miles each year drive testing and testing in buildings for mobile network performance in the U.S. – show we’re not only the clear leader in delivering the top wireless experience nationwide, but of the 97 cities tested so far in their 1H 2018 Metro Area series, Verizon was unbeaten in overall network performance in 74 cities. That’s more than three out of four cities tested and significantly better results than those of the nearest competitor.
To make it easy for you to keep track, we have started a running total of the cities where you won’t find a better network experience than Verizon.
These are just the latest in a long list of top rankings announced by independent third parties this year. In the last several months, Verizon was ranked #1 in the nation for a record ninth time in a row by RootMetrics*; received more awards than any other wireless provider in the J.D. Power Wireless Network Quality Performance Study** (20th time in a row); was recognized as best in streaming***; and, in April, was found to deliver the best real-world download speeds by Tutela, a widely installed network testing software, with over 250 million devices globally.****
What does this mean for you?
Having lots of awards from multiple independent testers is nice, but that’s not why we’ve built the nation’s best, most reliable wireless 4G LTE network. We’ve built it so that you can be sure you’ll be able to use your device when you want to. Whatever matters most to you – whether it’s playing a game, streaming music or a movie, sharing that perfect moment with your friends, or connecting with loved ones – you can do it best with Verizon.
How does Verizon remain on top for its customers?
Our engineers focus every day to stay ahead of customer demand. That, along with our consistent investment in the network and deployment of the latest technologies, is why we continue to have an overwhelming lead over the competition across the vast majority of third party tests.
2018 promises exciting technology firsts for our customers, including our next generation 5G network. To learn more about some of our leading technology and the work our engineers are doing, check out these videos on why we’re Best For a Good Reason.
