Ashburn, VA – April 4, 2018 – Dark Fiber and Infrastructure, LLC (“DF&I”) today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Northern, VA and MD fiber and conduit assets of USA FIBER Inc., a division of USA Groups, Inc.. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
DF&I is a pure play provider of dark fiber and conduit network infrastructure founded by former FiberLight executives John Schmitt and Judd Carothers.
The acquisition and specifically the Potomac River crossing establishes DF&I’s initial position in the region as it moves forward to provide the area’s most direct all underground dark fiber and conduit assets available between Montgomery County, MD and Ashburn, VA.
