Destiny takes its first international steps by acquiring the Dutch Motto Communications

The acquisition results in the most advanced digital market place for cloud services in the Benelux

Brussels, 16 March, 2018 – Destiny, provider of cloud communication solutions for innovative enterprises in Belgium, has acquired the Dutch Motto Communications and its cloud distribution platform FLUX. The acquisition corresponds with Destiny’s short-term growth ambitions to increase its revenue to fifty million euros and to be present in multiple countries.

In Belgium, Destiny has been the leading provider of cloud communication solutions for many years. With the Destiny cloud interaction platform, organizations are able to communicate more effectively with any device from any location, given that telecom and IT seamlessly integrate in the underlying architecture. This enables Destiny to offer highly flexible and scalable solutions that perfectly suit the needs of the customer and are customizable in the future.

With FLUX, Motto Communications developed a leading portal for cloud services in which partners and resellers can very quickly and easily offer the right solutions to end customers. This integrated cloud distribution platform further refines the scalability of the Destiny offering and is an exceptional tool for Destiny and its partners in creating and managing a suitable cloud environment for customers.

Destiny has always been vocal about its international ambitions. The recent acquisition of the Dutch Motto Communications doesn’t just contribute to this European expansion, it also gives Destiny access to a highly competent team of engineers and developers and it strengthens the service offering of both parties.

“Growth is not our ultimate goal,” says Daan de Wever, founder and CEO of Destiny. “This acquisition strengthens our cloud services offering, which benefits both our customers and our partners. Both Destiny and Motto Communications focus on innovative companies, present themselves as an important challenger in the market and share a strongly entrepreneurship-focused culture. The desire to internationalize with a young and dynamic team is constantly present.”

Destiny’s comprehensive cloud communication platform also complements Motto Communications’ existing services portfolio. Robbert Heemskerk, CCO at Motto Communications: “Destiny offers us a lot of extras, especially when it comes to cloud security, and provides us with an upper hand for the Dutch market.”

Founder of Motto Communications Kay Reijnen confirms this: “Both companies have independently shaped their cloud strategies in such a way that they seamlessly integrate. Together, they can continue as the most advanced cloud distribution platform in the Benelux.”

Because of their strong conviction this combination will be a success, both Robbert Heemskerk and Kay Reijnen will become part of the group as stakeholders and board members. Heemskerk will also be responsible for Sales & Operations for the Dutch market, and Reijnen will be responsible for software development.

With the acquisition of Motto Communications, Destiny is developing its European ambition and now employs 140 people and has a new expected revenue of 42 million euros for 2018. Q Advisors, a global TMT investment banking boutique, acted as exclusive financial advisor to Motto in connection with the transaction.
