Kestler joins Vantage as CCO, leading all sales, marketing and business development efforts for the company as it expands to new markets
SANTA CLARA, CA – January 11, 2018 — Vantage Data Centers, a leading provider of data center solutions in support of mission-critical applications, announced today that veteran data center sales executive Lee Kestler is joining its leadership team to bolster the company’s expansion plans.
Kestler, who spent eight years as a Senior Vice President at DuPont Fabros Technology, will assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Vantage. He will be based in Ashburn, Virginia, Vantage’s newest market where the company plans to invest $1 billion to construct a new 108MW data center campus.
“Vantage plans to continue to grow in existing and new markets, including Silicon Valley, Quincy and our recently announced expansion into the Ashburn market,” said Sureel Choksi, Vantage President and CEO. “We are excited to welcome Lee, who brings extensive industry knowledge and a strong track record of success in the data center market, positioning Vantage for accelerated growth.”
A 26-year industry veteran, Kestler previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Leasing at DuPont Fabros Technology, where he led a sales team that scaled wholesale data center revenue by more than fifteen-fold during his tenure. Prior to DuPont Fabros, Kestler held multiple sales and sales management roles at Savvis.
Separately, Joe Goldsmith, Vantage’s Chief Revenue Officer, has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of Vantage. He will be working with Kestler to ensure a smooth transition over the coming weeks.
“Joe Goldsmith has been a tremendous asset to Vantage and led the company’s sales and marketing team over the past three years during a period of record growth for the company,” said Choksi. “We thank Joe for all of his contributions and wish him all the best.”
