Vantage’s recently-completed V6 data center is now over 90% leased

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. – January 25, 2018 Today, Vantage Data Centers announces that it has leased over 90% of the total capacity of its newly completed 9MW V6 data center. Vantage broke ground on the V6 facility at its flagship Santa Clara campus in late 2016 and opened its doors less than a year later in October 2017.

“We continue to see strong demand for wholesale services in Silicon Valley, and our ability to lease V6 data center capacity so quickly is a testament both to our services as well as strong customer demand,” said Vantage President and CEO Sureel Choksi.

The V6 data center features high-density ready slab floors, 2N electrical redundancy and premium amenities. V6 is the newest addition to what was already the largest data center campus in the region. With the completion of V6, the total constructed critical IT load for Vantage’s existing Santa Clara campus now has reached 60MW.

Vantage will be adding an additional 15MW of capacity to its Santa Clara campus with its newly constructed V5 data center facility. V5 construction began last year and is on track for delivery in June 2018.

“Vantage remains strongly committed to developing additional capacity in Silicon Valley to support our customers’ continued growth,” said Choksi. “Following our recently completed V6 facility and soon to be completed V5 facility, we plan to deliver the first phase of a brand new 69MW Silicon Valley campus in 2019.”
